Get Healthy Without Paying $$$ For A Personal Trainer Or Nutritionist

There are a plethora of studies linking exercise with improved cognitive function.

If you are interested in making $$$, exercise is a way to ensure your cognitive function is at its peak when you apply your mind to your mahi.

Here is a way to use ChatGPT to create an exercise routine personalised to you in three steps in less than 3 minutes.

  1. Head to ChatGPT

  2. Enter the following prompt based on your own variables:

“I'm looking to start an exercise routine - here are my parameters:

    - I have this (x number) of days on which I can exercise

    - I weigh (x amount)

    - The last time I exercised was (x)

    - I am (insert your fitness level)

    - I have (x) minutes on the days I can exercise

    - I (do / do not) have access to exercise equipment
    - I (do / do not) have access to a gym

    - I like these activities (insert things you like doing)

    - I am (X years old)

    - I have the following goals - (I want to get to 11% body fa, and I am currently 16% - replace with your own metrics whether this is weight or aesthetic related)

    - I am (insert sex - optional)

Please write me an exercise plan given the constraints I've listed above”

  3. You’ll get an exercise program like the one above. Enter the next prompt:

“Please add more detail and relevant links and tutorials on how to complete the exercise program you have listed”

  4. Enter the next prompt:

“Please create a detailed daily nutrition plan to assist me with this”

  5. Enter the following prompt:

“Please write delicious recipes for each of the meals listed in the nutrition plan above that match the same calories as needed per day for my goals - please write the grocery list needed for these recipes”

The hardest thing about any habit is starting, but these prompts take less than 3 minutes to do and pave a path for getting started if you aren’t already on your exercise journey.

Your Customers Jobs

Come on boy, there's jobs to be done.

One of my Dad's favourite sayings.

I hated hearing it when it was 7 pm on my 39th straight day of work. But that's just how things were on the family Orchard during Summer.

Little did I know then that phrase would follow me long past my fruit-picking days.

Product managers from Stripe, AngelList, Klarna, and I'm sure many more say knowing your customer's "jobs to be done" is the single most important piece of information they have.

People buy for a reason. They're trying to achieve something; they have a job.

Plant a new tree. Drive from Dunedin to Wanaka. Lose weight, as Kale is above.

You might need a spade to plant a tree. But so might the person disposing of evidence. Knowing what separates them is the difference between good and bad marketing, sales, service etc.

I've revisited this thought many times over the past few months as I've been building Gravy (a platform to help not-for-profits raise funding). What jobs are our customers doing...

Are they looking for information on available grants? Do they want to learn how to write a grant application, or are they looking for someone to do it for them?

To find out, we're asking Gravy users;

  1. What are you trying to achieve?

  2. Why do you want to do that?

  3. What have you tried so far?

The answers to these questions guide our product decisions, which flows on to marketing and so on.

If you don't know your customer's jobs to be done, as my Dad also liked to say you're pissing in the wind.
