The $100,000 BFCYM Formula

Last year, we ran a Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCYM) sale that generated $100 K+ in revenue in 11 days.

After reviewing the data, we found that only three things made a difference.

1. Site Speed: For every extra second your site takes to load, you’ll lose 12% of your visitors.

Here is how to check if your site is slow.

Here are two ways to do this for free:

- Reduce the total size of your images on your site - You can do this with Resize for free here
- Remove any apps or third-party extensions on your website

2. Keeping The Offer Simple: Common Thread Collective has spent over 100M+ in ads for some of the world’s biggest e-commerce companies.

They found that what has worked the best to drive sales during BFCYM is to keep your offer simple.

This means conveying one thing to your customers.

We offer a Buy One Get One Free (B.O.G.O) each year, but you could do a site-wide discount.

The goal is to make it easy to understand.

The more hoops customers have to jump through, the more likely they’ll spend elsewhere.

3. Build A List: Three weeks before BFCYM, we created a Typeform to capture emails and phone numbers by asking people to sign up to get deals before they went live.

Literally, everything else we’ve done hasn’t made an impact compared to these three levers.

Don’t overcomplicate BFCYM.

Nail the basics.

How We’ll Add 6 Figures To Our Business This Sprint

There are twenty or so different ways you can become a customer at Compound. But only a few of those paths lead you to our 12-month membership.

That's a problem.

Our 12-month members are 2-3x more valuable than their next closest competitor. So we should be doing everything we can to help all leads become annual members.

We aren't.

For example, if you went to our website and claimed the free fit3d body scan we're using as a lead magnet. You'll get one email asking you to book your scan, and then you'll never hear from us again.

That's dumb.

Post your fit3D body scan, we should be following you up with all manner of offers to train at Compound until you either tell us to piss off or you take our bait.

It takes work to get someone interested in what you have to offer. Even at Compound, with our reasonably well-oiled marketing machine, each lead costs us ~$75. Why not do everything we can to hang on to them?

Back of the napkin math suggests that doubling our 12-month membership conversion rate from 15% to 30% will add six figures to our top line. Possibly the most significant opportunity in our business right now.

So that's what we're going to work on this sprint. We will fix our leady funnel and get all roads leading to one destination, our annual membership.

Done well, it will even be obvious to our leads what we them to do.
