I’ve recently been binging on a podcast about Jensen Huang, the founder of NVIDIA.

This podcast has carried so much gold that I wanted to use the principles to help me grow my businesses.

If you’ve ever wanted to have these people apply any podcast tactics to your life as personalised coaches, here’s how to do it:

  1. Wherever you listen to your podcasts, go to the episode webpage

  2. All podcasts are typically hosted on another site at which you can download the podcast audio mp3

  3. Head to https://web.descript.com/ follow the signup process, and upload your mp3 for a free transcript like this


    Just hit “command + a” and then “command + c” to copy the transcript

  4. Go here to create your agent and paste the text into the box that says “From Text”, then select “Generate Agent”

  5. Follow the signup process and integrate it into your calendar

  6. Have real-time conversations with the AI as if it were your own personal coach optimising your life

Hiring For Marketing

I've hired a bunch of different people for marketing roles. Most haven't worked out. The common thread is twofold.

They can't look at something and determine whether it looks good.

A poster, a picture, a piece of clothing. They look at it and have no clue whether it looks good or not. No taste.

Or they can't consume something and understand how others might think and feel when they consume it. They can only see it through their eyes based on their vantage point. No empathy.

If you don't have either of these two skills, you can't get the attention of the people you want to interest. You can't market.

So, what I'm doing differently to hire a marketer for Compound this time around is checking for these two factors via a questionnaire..

When someone replies to our job advert, we automatically send them an email asking them to complete a quiz.

And the results are, well, interesting.

Without touching a cover letter or CV, it's very damn obvious who has these skills and who doesn't.

As a bonus, we also get to see who wants this job versus a job and who can communicate.
